Sustainability is a key component of Posti’s business strategy. Posti’s ambitious climate efforts are one great example of this commitment: our objective is to operate fossil-free by 2030 and be on net-zero what comes to our emissions by 2040.
At Posti, we want to minimize our negative impacts on the environment, people, and society while using our competencies and resources to make things better.
Sustainability has always been a part of us. We started using electric vehicles in the 80s, and our first environmental program hails back from the 90s. Today, responsibility for our planet is an integral part of our operations, and we are getting closer to our goal of fossil-free operations by the day. In 2023, our total emissions decreased by 17.4% and our own emissions decreased by 16.1% compared to the previous year.
Globally, our sustainability work ranks in the top 1%: in 2024, EcoVadis, the leading business sustainability assessment organization, once again ranked Posti at the platinum level, which is the highest possible level – now for the fourth year running.

We have set the ambitious target to be fossil free by 2030 and achieve net-zero by 2040.
People and society
The world – and Posti with it – is in the process of a significant structural transformation. The well-being of personnel and customers plays a key role in our ability to continue to bear our responsibility in the future.

At this year's events, we will discuss topics such as circular economy, human rights, and the role of data and technology in sustainability work. Last year, our topical sustainability themes attracted an online audience of over 3,000 people. The webinars are free and you can sign up for one or more events at a time.

We have many different properties ranging from warehouses to distribution-fulfillment centers and Posti outlets. In total, we have 508 properties (2019).
Anonymous whistleblowing channel
We want to encourage personnel and stakeholder representatives to address issues and shortcomings. By signing up, you help our company conduct its operations in a proper and sustainable manner. We will investigate any suspected misconduct reported in good faith and take the appropriate measures.

NewsPosti Achieves Fourth Consecutive Platinum Rating from EcoVadis – Improved Score Over Last Year
EcoVadis, the world’s leading organization evaluating companies’ sustainability, has once again awarded Posti its highest platinum rating. This recognition places Posti among the top 1% of companies worldwide, a distinction it has earned for the fourth consecutive year.

Posti on the Financial Time’s list of European Climate Leaders again – only Finnish logistics company
Financial Times has once again published a list of European companies that have reduced their climate emissions the most. Five hundred companies were selected for Europe's Climate Leaders 2024 list, 30 from Finland.

Posti's Equality and Non-Discrimination Program has been updated
The Equality and Non-Discrimination Program is the action program of a Committee of the same name. The committee includes both personnel and employer representatives and it monitors the status of equality and non-discrimination at Posti, promotes it through jointly agreed objectives and maintains an equality feedback channel.
