Sustainability management and reporting

Part of International Commitments

Our sustainability is based on our values, commitments and the decision-in-principle of our owner, the state, indicating that state-owned companies should be held as examples of a high standard of corporate social responsibility and sustainability. Sustainability is part of our day-to-day work, management and risk management. Our decision-making takes into account not only financial factors, but also the social and environmental impacts of our operations.

We are committed to the fundamental principles of the UN Global Compact initiative with regard to labor, the environment, anti-corruption and human rights. In addition, we are committed to observing human rights in our own operations and in our supply chain in accordance with the UN principles pertaining to businesses and human rights.

We have also issued a social sustainability commitment of our own as part of Finland’s national objectives related to the implementation of the UN Agenda 2030. Furthermore, we are committed to promoting five sustainable development goals as part of the industry cooperation of the International Post Corporation (IPC).

We are also committed to the Science Based Targets initiative .

Information on our current sustainability program is available in our latest Sustainability Report. We are currently in the process of updating it and will provide information on the updated sustainability program on this website as soon as it has been completed and confirmed.

Posti's Environmental Policy

Posti actively promotes a clean transition in logistics, and we have set an ambitious goal to transport fossil-free by 2030 and be at net zero emissions by 2040. Our sustainability work is based on international initiatives and agreements, such as the UN Global Compact and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

To ensure that we operate in accordance with our goals from the perspective of our environmental management, we follow an environmental policy that is binding on all Posti employees. The purpose of this is to define principles for environmental management processes and practices that are applied to all Posti Group operations.

We require our employees and suppliers to follow our Code of Conducts

Our values and sustainability principles take concrete form in our Code of Conduct, which sets out the appropriate procedures for various situations. Our subcontractors and suppliers are required to observe the same procedures and principles, and they are documented in more detail in the Supplier Code of Conduct, which applies to all suppliers without exception. You'll find both documents below:
