Summer job led to a warehouse operations manager position

Juho Haverinen works as Operations Manager at Posti's fulfillment and logistics services warehouse in Lahti. In this role, Juho is responsible for two locations, where, in addition to the team's supervisory work, he acts as a supervisor for external contracted employees and ensures that matters and issued related to customers and handled correctly and as agreed. Taking care of the work safety of the team and the workplace is also a big part of Juho's area of responsibility.

The logistics industry is active around the clock

Warehousing, collection, packaging and transport is the core expertise of our logistics professionals. We work in Posti’s own warehouses in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area and Pirkanmaa, as well as in our customer companies’ terminals, factories, construction sites and production facilities across Finland.

Depending on the task, work is carried out in morning, evening and night shifts, from five to seven days a week. Logistics professionals therefore play an important role in ensuring that the company’s material and information stay flowing.

A wide range of job opportunities

In logistics, you can work as a warehouse worker, forklift driver, furniture carrier, parcel sorter, online store picker, container unloader, account manager or team leader, for example. Each job has its own special characteristics – some are physically demanding, while others are very fast-paced. However, precision and care are advantages in all these jobs!
