As a result of Brexit, the prices of parcels to the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands and Gibraltar will be reduced from January 1, 2021 onward

11/30/2020

The prices of parcels sent to the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands or Gibraltar will be reduced when these areas change from payment zone 3 to zone 2 at the start of the year. For example, the prices of 2 kg parcels sent from Posti outlets and S Express Parcels bought online will be reduced by EUR 10.

Starting from January 1, 2021, Brexit will introduce changes to the way items are sent to the UK, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands and Gibraltar. In the future, the contents of items must be declared in advance. The change applies to parcels as well as goods letters.

The required parcel content information (customs declaration CN22 or CN23) is declared via the online service used for sending the parcel, in OmaPosti or at a Posti service point.

From the start of the year, the UK will no longer be part of the EU’s customs and tax treaty applicable to trading. In the future, when sending items to the UK, the procedure will follow that of sending items to countries such as China or Russia, which are not part of the EU.
